On October 13th and 14th, 2008 the Laredo Firefighters Association will be conducting nominations for the 2009 Union Board Elections.Members wishing to nominate, or run for any board position are welcomed to attend. Union members who nominate or are nominated must meet the 6 meeting rule as per our Union bylaws. The nomination process will be held during our monthly meetings set to start at 7:30 pm at the Firefighters Union Hall located @ 5217 Tesoro Plaza, Laredo TX. 78041. The Elections will be held the on the month of November 2008.
Union Local 1390 Firefighters Celebrate City Council Candidates Victory!
Union Local 1390 members were gathered to celebrate the victory of the City Council candidates. Three of the four candidates we endorsed won decisively thanks to our members help. Our candidate for City Council District IV (Sabas Zapata) is in a runoff, once again we ask for your support in the June 13 election.
To everyone who came out to vote and everyone who took any amount of time to help get the word out Thank You!!!!
